Elegant LowCountry Wedding at Creek Club at I’on

 

On the sidewalk at Creek Club at I’on, Alex waited nervously to see Christiana in her wedding dress for the first time. It’s was a day that these two had long awaited. Christiana walked gracefully up to Alex and tapped him on the shoulder for him to turn around. As he turned, tears slowly ran down his face. Christiana reached out to Alex, and gently wiped away his tears that had replaced the nerves he was feeling just moments before. Seeing Christiana in her beautiful lace wedding dress and long cathedral veil holding her bouquet was enough to bring anyone to tears.

A gorgeous backdrop of palms and Spanish Moss draped trees along the water set the scene for Alex and Christiana’s ceremony. As their adorable flower girl tossed petals as she walked down the aisle, their equally adorable ring bearer followed not far behind her. Their guests stood up, and at the top of the aisle, escorted by her father, Christiana appeared. There was almost a slight pause as she look a deep breath and seemingly held back some tears. Christiana and her father continued down the aisle, and as I turned to capture Alex’s reaction, tears started running down his face. In effort to provide a little comfort, Zac, Alex’s brother, rested his hand on his shoulder. The two read their heartfelt vows they wrote to another. There were moments of tears, as well as laughter as Alex promised Christiana what every woman wants to hear- to always take Instagram worthy photos for her.

After the ceremony, we sneaked off with the bride and groom for some quick romantic sunset photos before they joined their guests for cocktail hour. As the night went on, it stayed focused on the purpose of the day- to celebrate the marriage of Christiana and Alex. Heartfelt and humorous toasts were made during the reception, but Christiana’s dad’s speech still stands out in my head. I was amazed that he made a little movie for her that included photos of her growing up. It was definitely something I had never seen before, and I can only imagine how much time that must have taken to put together. Christiana and Alex have some amazing friends and family who truly love and support them. Little moments, like when Alex’s mom waved Christiana over during the Mother Son dance and let the two of them dance to the remainder of the song, continued to prove that throughout the night.

The rest of the night was full of dancing, laughter, and good times.. oh and Alex provided a little Magic Mike inspired dance during the garter toss. Before we knew it, it was time to wrap up the night. Their guests lined up outside of the venue and sent Christiana and Alex off with a sparkler exit. I think it’s safe to say that everyone enjoyed celebrating this sweet couple on their best day ever!

Your wedding at Creek Club at I’on was definitely one that will not be forgotten. The two of you are so sweet. Your energy and enthusiasm not just about your wedding but each other and life in general makes you two so fun and refreshing to be around. I’m so honored to have met you and to have captured your big day for you! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!!
