On October 23, Bri and Drew exchanged vows on the beautiful wedding in Beaufort at the Old Bay Marketplace Rooftop. Initially, they were planning on getting married in May this year at the Dawtaw Island Clubhouse. However, due to covid, they were forced to postpone their wedding. We were planning on having their big day rescheduled to 2021, but, as luck would have it, they were able to keep their wedding in 2020.
We started the day off at Bri’s bridal suite, capturing details and even doing a sweet first look with her soon to be mother-in-law. From there, we headed down to the waterfront park where we took bridal party and family portraits. Bri and her father had a first look on the dock, and man, that was one to remember. The pure joy and love captured during this moment brings a smile to my face every time I reflect back on this moment. You could just tell how proud of a father he is and how much he loves his little girl.
Before we knew it, it was time to head over and get ready for the ceremony. As Bri and her father walked down the aisle toward Drew, my focus was locked in on his expression as he seemingly held back tears while he watched the love of his life walk down the aisle. With the most perfect weather, and stunning backdrop of downtown Beaufort, Bri and Drew made their vows to each other in front of their close family and friends.
After the ceremony, we went back down to the park to finish up bridal party and family photos. Once we finished with those, we snuck the couple off for some sunset portraits on the dock. That location did not disappoint! There’s something about shooting on a dock that just makes me so happy. Add in some boats and sailboats to the equation and I’m in heaven. We spent as much time as we could there before we started to get attacked by all the lovely noseeums, then headed back to the rooftop to party the night away.
Their reception was SO fun! After they were introduced and first dances and toasts were complete, the live band started playing. Bri and Drew along with their guests seemed to really enjoy dancing the night away to some amazing music! It isn’t very often you hear guests at a wedding chant “one more song!” to the band, but it happened. So the band played a quick song before we lined everyone up for their glow stick exit. I think it’s safe to say that everyone at this wedding had a good time.
Bri and Drew, first of all, I want to say how grateful I am to have you both as a couple. You two were a dream to work with. Even during a pandemic, you both were so calm, sweet, and understanding. I loved finally getting to meet you both in person and I’m honored that I was able to be there to capture your big day for you both. I wish you two the absolute best! CONGRATULATIONS!!
