Folly Beach + Hampton Park Engagement Session

Emily and Alex are one of my newer SBP couples, and I absolutely adore them! Emily and I first met for her bridal consultation at Holy City where we chatted about their wedding and got to know each other more. It was during our consultation I learned that Emily and Alex met through work. She is a nurse, and he is a firefighter. At the time, she was working in the ER. They met, they fell in love, and now in April 2021 at The Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, these two will begin the next chapter of their lives together as husband and wife!

Let’s slow down though and get back on the subject of their engagement session!

We couldn’t have asked for better weather for their session here in Charleston. It was warm, slightly overcast, and LOW humidity! We started out at Hampton Park for their engagement session. After we took a good amount of photos, we headed out to Folly Beach to finish up our session with the most perfect beach sunset. Just kidding. Storm clouds were looming over the water and high tide with rough waves crashing against the rocks threatened to sweep us out to sea. Okay, so it wasn’t THAT dramatic. However, it definitely challenged us to utilize the small amount of beach that wasn’t covered in water. They rocked it though! In the end, we ended up with some amazing photos from Hampton Park with greenery and beautiful flowers, as well as some stunning beach photos. Alex and Emily, it was so much fun spending the evening with you two! It was so nice walking around Hampton Park and braving it at the beach with you both. I cannot wait for your wedding in April! Once again, Welcome to the SBP Family!!
